My stay at Hotel Islane was a mix of positive and negative experiences. The hotel's location is really good, just a minute's walk from the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa square. However, the noise levels were quite disruptive, with echoes from the marble floors and sounds from the corridors. While the staff in the restaurant were friendly and provided a delicious Moroccan breakfast, the overall facilities need improvement.
Rooms

The room had a newly decorated smell, but it overlooked a noisy road. The lack of an elevator and uncomfortable beds made my stay tricky.
Service

The staff were generally friendly, but some were a bit pushy for tips and not always helpful with information.

Overall, the hotel needs maintenance; locks didn't work properly, and there were issues with air conditioning.

My stay at Hotel Islane was a mixed bag. While the location is fantastic—just a few minutes from Jemma El Fna and right opposite the Koutoubia Mosque—there were some real issues. The noise levels in the corridors were excessive, especially at night, making it hard to sleep. On the plus side, the breakfast was quite enjoyable, with a good selection served on the rooftop terrace with lovely views.
Rooms

The room was spacious but a bit worn down, with some maintenance issues like a loose toilet seat and odd lighting. However, it was functional and clean.

Staff were generally friendly and attentive, although there were some accidental mix-ups with my bill during checkout.

The hotel's location is its strongest point, being just a three-minute walk to the vibrant square and easy to find. Plus, the view from the breakfast terrace was amazing, with the Atlas Mountains visible in winter.
Dining

Breakfast was simple yet plentiful, featuring a selection of breads, yogurt, and fresh orange juice served on the rooftop terrace. The views definitely enhanced the experience.
Facilities

Basic facilities were available, like room service and a 24-hour reception, but there was no kitchen, which was a drawback.

I had a mixed stay at Hotel Islane. While the location right across from Koutoubia mosque was perfect for exploring Marrakech, the hotel itself was basic and in need of improvements. I enjoyed the breakfast views, but the noise levels and the room's upkeep dampened my experience. Overall, there are some lovely aspects, but significant issues need addressing.

The room was small and uncomfortable, with no drawers for unpacking. The cleanliness was okay, but the bathroom stench from one room was unbearable.
Service

The staff were friendly and attentive, always available to assist me with my needs. However, the general vibe felt a bit less welcoming.
Location

The location is undoubtedly the hotel's best feature, being just a short walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa and with a view of the mosque. It allows for a quick escape from the chaos of Marrakech.

Breakfast on the terrace had a great view, though the selection was limited and the food could have been warmer. The views made up for it somewhat.
Facilities

Facilities like room service and sightseeing support were available, but some basic amenities such as air conditioning in my room weren't functioning properly.

Overall, my stay at Hotel Islane had its ups and downs. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the Koutoubia mosque and Jemaa el-Fna, which made exploring easy. However, the rooms felt small and a bit tired, with some issues like noise interfering with my comfort. The breakfast was basic and not very appealing with limited options, but I appreciated the friendliness of the staff throughout my stay.

My room was small, dark, and somewhat stuffy. It definitely needed a bit of renovation and a touch of paint to freshen things up. The noises from the corridors and outside made it a challenge to relax.
Service

The staff were unfailingly polite and friendly, always willing to assist with directions and activity recommendations. However, the management seemed to lack responsiveness to some issues.

You couldn't beat the location! Just a few minutes' walk to the main square and literally across the street from the stunning Koutoubia mosque. It made getting around Marrakech a breeze.

Breakfast was quite basic and not very tasty, with limited choices which left me wanting more. I was hoping for some fresh options, but it mostly consisted of bread and croissants. It wasn't exactly a highlight of the hotel experience.
Facilities

The facilities were adequate but could use a refresh. The rooftop dining area, while nice in theory, didn't offer comfortable breakfast experiences due to the cold in February. Other services like room service and currency exchange were available, which I found useful.

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Islane. The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from the Koutoubia Mosque and a short walk to Jemaa el-Fna. However, the hotel itself is quite basic and definitely in need of some tender loving care. The noise levels in the corridors were excessive, and my room had cleanliness issues, although the staff did make an effort to tidy up. It's a place with potential, but it missed the mark in several areas during my stay.

My room was spacious but quite worn. I had some cleanliness concerns, including finding dust and a cockroach. The lighting was oddly romantic but inadequate for the evening. Overall, it's functional but definitely needs updating.
Service

The staff were friendly and attentive, which was nice. However, I found the tour sales staff in the lobby to be pushy for tips, which was a bit annoying. Otherwise, service was generally good.

The location was the highlight of my stay, conveniently close to the famous Koutoubia Mosque and right around the corner from the vibrant Jemaa el-Fna market. I could easily walk back to the hotel for a rest without needing a taxi.
Dining

Breakfast was basic but plentiful with a nice view from the terrace. However, I noticed that some food items appeared to be reused despite growing mold on them, which was off-putting. Still, it was nice to enjoy a meal surrounded by palm trees.
Facilities

The hotel offers basic facilities like housekeeping and airport shuttle services. Unfortunately, I found the air conditioning non-functional, which was uncomfortable in the heat. The rooms could use more amenities.
